My leg today is a little sore so I took a long shower letting the water run on it hoping to relax it a bit, no help. Having a touch of spring fever I think, what is spring fever? Is that when you wish it was spring because if it is then that's what I have.
Yesterday we got blasted with an outrageous snowstorm, the snow piled on my car sideways defying gravity. I called in and was happy to hear that we had a two hour delay at work, so I curled back up under the blankets and watched Jim Cramer on my iPod. The reason I was curled under the blankets was 1) because it was so cozy and 2)because I lost power in the storm and my house was approx: 10 degrees.
Two hours later I dug my car out of the snow. This took one hour. I was heated. (I am saying that now.) The snow was all removed in 15 or 20 minutes and the other 40 was spent trying to reverse the Mustang up a 3 degree incline covered with ice. Not happening. In a strange twist of events my annoying neighbor helped me out by sprinkling kitty litter under my tires and pushing me out of the spot. He kept saying, "Welcome to Maine!" and "This car is not very good for icy roads be careful!" So still annoying despite helping me.
When I got out on the highway the snow was still coming down pretty hard so I called in again, now the delay had been pushed to 4 hours. I saw no point in going home to no power and no coffee so I went to McDonalds instead and read the paper for an extremely long time, and when I eventually made it in to work I found out that it had been cancelled altogether so I went back home. Still no power, still no coffee. Tried to go out for some but discovered the whole town was without power, so I drove to the next town and found a place. They gave me free cookies.
I acknowledge what day it is today.

So you had an interesting day, eh? Cathi came yesterday and took her dogs back. Now I miss them. Ridiculous, considering her beagle thought the carpet is for peeing!
I have to wash dishes and I do not feel like doing it. I am tired and work sucked. We are transferring employees next week so we are all nrevous and swamped. The place that is taking us over is not capable of taking care of our caseload. Be interesting to see what happens. I am off to slave in the kitchen now.

Can't you put chains on your tires so it grips better? Or is that just in books?
Posted at February 25, 2009 04:52 PM
You would not have slaved for me in the kitchen on our anniversary, I would have taken you out on the town and swept you off your feet!
Posted at February 25, 2009 04:53 PM
No that's real, people do that but not me. I can't see chains on the Mustang. I could get snow tires though, but winter is nearly over now. (I keep telling myself.)

Umm, winter in Maine is thru May - didn't anybody tell you that? I have no symapthy for you ar your car anymore because you could have made it winter bearable but you CHOSE not to.
I am swamped. I am trying to get hired in Ohio. I don't think it will happen. It would be great if I can get the same benefits and salary. Oh well. Dreams.

this morning, I was toasting a croissant and Michael asked me to use the little machine that he was using for his bagel, so we could continue our conversation. Well I, with some pushing, was magically able to fit the croissant in through a tiny opening without realizing that it wasn't any bigger inside, when all of a sudden one of the workers started yelling "No, NO" but it was too late the thing was IN. So the croissant caught on fire as it was traveling through the machine and the man ran over with tongs and had to shut off the machine while my croissant was on fire. There were flames shooting out of the toaster thingie.
Michael and I calmly walked to the other side, used the big machine and pretended it wasn't us who almost burned down the place!

But I need sympathy don't you know it is cold here and there is ice on my sidewalk and the kid is supposed to shovel it but he doesn't because it is too thick for his shovel?
Ohio, how about Japan instead? I have room for you plus one (I would recommend L).

You are too smooth I'm sure nobody suspected a thing. I miss hanging out with you. Hilarious.

I can't live in Japan. I don't like Asian food too much. I don't mind sushi once in a while, but I would die if I had to eat it all the time. I am a very very picky eater.

It's okay, we can cook for each other. I can make kiflici.

Ha-ha-ha! I am leaving to go home. I am tired and have a lot of cleaning to look forward to. I am also hungry but I don't know what I want to eat! I am irritating myself.
I want to go shopping so that is my plan for tomorrow. My plan to go shopping tonight has been foiled by L! She knew what I was thinking so she called me at work to tell me to hurry getting home. She is psychic and there is a conspiracy against me. I know it. I really do.
Posted at February 27, 2009 06:26 PM
No conspiracy, she misses you a lot I can relate. I wonder if you'd come to me if I called and asked nicely? I hope you find something good for dinner.

Did spring start yet by you? We had snow on Monday! I stayed home and played with Luna and Hanna. Had a great day. Hanna kept eating snow. It was funny.
Anyway it is March 5 and no new post. What's up? I understand you 3e busy planning your move and all but that is no reason at all to neglect posting. I am getting heated now. I keep checking and checking and checking and checking ..... And ..... Nothing. No new post! Do you have an excuse? Are you punishing me? Is your car ok? Are you spending all your time in the trailer park? Are you buried in snow with no internet and no way to leave the house or call for help? Should I call the sheriff's office and request a 'well man' check on you?
I can't wait to hear your excuse! That last sentence is loaded with sarcasm. Let me know.

You make me laugh. What is Kthxbai?
I had snow on Monday too, that was a big storm. No work. Then the rest of the week was craziness trying to make up for the lost time, ugggggh I am so glad it's the weekend now. Was that Hanna's first snow? Dogs like it but I don't. Not if I have to go outside.
I do not live in a trailer park.
Please do not get heated, I don't want that! My excuse is that I thought you weren't checking because no comments from you! Now I know better, I will make a new post this weekend. I'm glad you had a good day on Monday, I hope your whole week was good too. You are pretty. I know that is out of the blue, that is what I think.

It wasn't Hanna's first snow. I had her last year too and she loves the snow. So do I for a day or two.
it means ok, thanks, bye
I am writing nothing until the new post. we attended a meet and greet tonight then I went out with michael and cathi for dinner and drinks - had a great time.

How was Watchmen? I realize you will not reply until I post. I think I want to see it too.
We had a nice day today, maybe upper 40's and much of the snow melted, nice!

we hit 65 and I was in short sleeves. Watchmen rocked. If you read the comic I suggest you see the movie!
