What did you buy?

I needed t-shirts so I thought I would go there and buy some fun things too, but I found out that they have no t-shirts so I had to go to the Nautica store next door. Therefore I bought nothing from LL Bean. I want to go back and buy some flannels and sweaters and maybe a coat and some winter socks. Did you and Suzi have a good time?

we did, yes. She wants to take Lu to see Disney on Ice but I don't want Lu to go. I don't know. I am just so tired. I have to tile the floor in my closets. I ripped out the carpeting and am putting in fake plastic tiles that look like wood. they match my floor and they are inside closets so I figure it won't be tacky. Right?
I am just pissed because I can't find my scissors to cut them with!

Sounds like you're worn out, dear. What can I do to help? Can I take you away?
ps I'm sure the closet floors will look nice.

I found regular scissors. The glue is down, once it dries I will tile it. It looked good when I put the tiles in to measure the cuts. We'll see how the finished product comes out.

It's finally Friday but I have to work tomorrow anyway. I was going to do a race on Sunday but now I'm thinking I'll stay home instead... it's so nice and warm in here compared to outside.
I'd like to play some board games.

I am done cleaning for today. I will finish everything tomorrow. Our friends are coming for Lu's birthday, another party for her will be on Sunday, then again on Wednesday and a big one next Saturday. A lot of baking ahead of me. whoo. I am making pasta di mare and stuffed squid tomorrow, not baking, instead i will buy Croatian pastries. I am beat,
Lu starts ELA tutorial tomorrow, after that Cro school then cleaning and cooking. If she doesn't pass ELA she doesn't go to 4th grade, ELA is the stupid statewide test because of no child left behind (doesn't work, the premise is good but in reality stupid). I am too tired to type anymore. good night K.

oh, I forgot to write that she was picked to sing a solo at the Croatian children's Festival in April. It is big deal!! I will live vicariously through my child....because I can't sing and she obviously can.

I'm so proud of L for being picked to sing at the Croatian children's festival! I wish I could go. She is so cute, I fell for her. I think it was the wet kisses, or when she called me keme. Or when she held my hand with her little hand. She'll be great, you will be proud. She'll do fine on the ELA too, because she's a smart kid. Don't you worry. Let me get this straight: Are you giving her four birthday parties???

Yes. The one tonight just finished. My food was a hit. Everything is gone. I made stuffed squid (calamari?) and pasta di mare and a salad and caponata (eggplant thingie).

Tomorrow we will party at my friends house, because she shares her birthday with L, then we will go to see my mom and bro.

On Wed is the party for her school friends. Kids only at an outside venue.

Thursday is Thanksgiving and L insists on celebrating her birthday then too because she was born on Thanksgiving. Even though the date is off.

On Saturday is the big family party. About 40 people. I gotta cook for that too.

I am not sure why no one else I know celebrates their birthday the same way. Must be a L thing.

The food sounds delicious, I think you are a good cook. How was ice skating this morning? I tried to do some Christmas shopping but failed miserably. The fact that all the stores in Maine close at four o'clock on Sundays did not help. Basically I just drove around listening to christmas music. I'm thinking of driving down to VA for Christmas instead of flying, it's cheaper and last time I flew was a huge pain in the ass.
I know I haven't been posting enough I'll work on that. PS Four parties is ridiculous, that child is so spoiled!
