Many things to do
I started to write a post about car shopping but I didn't like it, I'm tired of the subject. There's no good cars here. I like the Audi TT's and maybe as a last resort I could look at the RX-8s but I can't find those either. I shouldn't have looked at Mercedes first and now I am frustated.
Do they have any cars at target? How about broiler pans? I need that. I might go to target tomorrow but first I have to go to my favorite place the grocery store and get lots of stuff.
Also I need a haircut this weekend, and I have a pretty long run tonight and a very long one tomorrow. Besides that I will not be going out. I'm cranky and old. I got mad at the people at the dealership today, not the salesmen but the customers. I felt that they were in my way.
As for my staying home plans, I have a stack of movies that I borrowed and I plan to make serious business of seeing them all.
First, the grocery store.

It is late. I got up one hour ago. Then I realized I had to rush to the bank before 1. Ugh. I have to go do the Brazilian wax thing before the Jets game tonight. It will be exciting. L will wear a Jets cheerleader uniform! This will be her first game.

That disturbs me. Sigh. Anyway, I'm getting ready for a twelve miler and I put your song on my playlist. Don't tell anyone, that it a huge secret. It's actually a good running song and it makes me think of you, you have inspired me through more than you know. How do you think I got through boot camp? Even though I know you were already with Roy by then.
The streets are wet and it is overcast and cool here today. I think I saw something on the news about some sick heat index in NY making it ridiculously uncomfortable, is it really hot?
I will not go car shopping today because I don't know what I want to buy. I think I might get the Merc after all.

I woke up too late and now I feel like doing nothing. I slept way too much. It is 100 here and I am sitting in the yard thinking about the waxing. It is disturbing me too. I also have to clean the house but I don't feel like it. My bdrm looks ridiculous. Ugh. At least you're full of energy.

Blisters on my toes... eww. How cute does L look? Someday she will be almost as cute as you.

We are at the game. L had a great time tailgating. She was catching and throwing a football surprisingly well. We are watching a game now and I found a Jets player I want. His name is Cavka and he is beautiful. I just screamed at him in Cro and he turned to look. He understood me! Roy is giving me the evil eye. I think he's jealous. We are sitting in row 3 right behind the players. I might throw my bra or panties at Cavka. What r u up to tonight?

I am jealous too. His name is Marko and I hate him intensely now.

I know his name silly. He is Croatian. We all know each other. That's how I got him to smile and wave by yelling Croatian. Think I might be in looovvvveee.

How is your day today, dear K? I am having coffee at my friends house. We just finished cooking dinner. I made pasta with shrimp and stuffed tomatoes. I am still planning my apt furniture. I want so many things that I can't afford! Ugh.

I was going to avoid car shopping today but I found an Audi that I couldn't resist. When I got to the dealer it was already gone so he started showing me some new cars and I am tempted. My list of possibilities is growing, not shrinking like it is supposed to.
I am looking at the Mercedes C class, Audi TT or A4, Mazda RX-8 or Speed6, and the Nissan 350Z. Or I could lose my mind and buy a Corvette. I am becoming thoroughly confused. Help me please.
I would like to join you for coffee and also I am shocked that you made stuffed tomatoes.

I will help you with the cars. No Nissan. No Mazda. Audi's are really nice. More info on that tomorrow. No Corvette - that's mid life crisis and you don't want to go there. Plus in a couple of years you will trade it for something with more trunk/backseat space.
Why are you shocked I made stuffed tomatoes? I am told they are quite tasty. I would never eat them and the smell of them is disgusting but people like them so I make them but seldom.
Would you like the recipe?
Posted on August 26, 2007 6:54 PM
As for the mid-life crisis... I might be having one. I still think the 08 Mazda6's are nice and I could load it up and still get a really good price. No?
The tomatoes sound good but I knew they used to scare you and I was fully prepared to give them up for life and not even mention them. If you give me the recipe I'll try it. Also any other recipe that you think I might like, I need new things to cook.

I want pie.

Tomatoes have to be ripe and very round so they can stand on their own. Take off the top and spoon out the inside with a spoon into a plate. Make buchamel sauce (flour butter milk, salt pepper, nutmeg). When that is done add the tomato things inside and about half cup grated parmesan. Then spoon all that inside the tomatoes. Put tomatoes on a cookies sheet (buttered) and put some butter slivers on top. Bake for 20 min. As for pasta - cook onions in olive oil, when transparent add garlic and spices (red pepper flakes are good if you like spicy but just a little bit) add some water and shrimp (half cup water) when shrimp turns red add some white wine (half or one cup) and cook for about 10 min. Sauce done (all this takes 20 min). Make pasta and add shrimp sauce. Yummy.
Gotta get back to Sue now. Let me know about your weekend. Let me know what kind of recipes you want. I have lots and all are quick. I don't cook American things though. Glad you were willing to give up tomatoes. Vile vile things.

What tomato things do you put inside? Is it just the insides you put back in with the sauce and the parmesan? I am making this tomorrow night.
My weekend was peaceful, I didn't do anything other than the run on Saturday. My brother is screwing my plans. I invited him to run the marathon with me so he started training at the same time I started. Now suddenly he's bringing his girlfriend and she is running too, (probably slow and I am not waiting on her, I don't even know who this person is) and he invited my parents down, WTF! This is not what I had in mind, I just wanted to chill with my brother. Now it is a whole big thing.
I watched John Q last night, it was good but sad. My friend warned me that it would make me cry and I didn't believe him and then I started to get choked up, he was right. So I laughed instead, but out loud and inappropriately and desperately.

You tip the plate to get as much of the water out as you can (from the tomatoes) then you add the rest to the buchamel sauce. Seeds and all. Be careful though, the first time I made it the buchamel came out too water and had a soup consisteny. Not good. It is fairly simple and quick once you get the hang of it.
So it will be a huge party during your run! That's great. Maybe Andy's girlfriend is a runner and will kick your butt. The run is in Maine? When will you move there?
Posted on August 26, 2007 10:29 PM
The race is in Florida, no icky Maine til March.
I invited my brother so I wouldn't be running alone and now if this woman is slow my brother will be slow and I'll end up running alone anyway. Or she'll be really fast and shame me. M, I will not stand for this. I refuse to be nice to her.
Also, he had a tv show last week and he didn't call me so I missed it. This is her fault as well.
Now I've vented, how was your day darling? Was it great?
Posted on August 27, 2007 5:33 PM
Why are you blaming her? It is his fault. She may be the woman of his dreams! You should be encouraging. I am at the dentist waiting to be hurt. This sucks. School starts tomorrow and I have to buy books and supplies. So much to do. I thought the race was in Maine. You could live out Stephen King's books! Ooh spooky.
Posted on August 27, 2007 6:01 PM
Oh I didn't think of that, it is spooky!
I sincerely hope it is the girl of his dreams, but I am extremely jaded and until they are married I will not give her the time of day.
I want to rescue you from the dentist. Meet me at the corner and I'll pick you up and take you out for coffee and ice cream. I will be nice to you.
Posted on August 27, 2007 6:10 PM
Haha. Very funny. I might do it but you are a 14 hour car ride away! Guess I will just have to see the dentist. Gotta go- they're calling me.
Posted on August 27, 2007 6:14 PM
Bring your pepper spray and get that son of a bitch.
And you know I'd make the trip.
Posted on August 27, 2007 6:22 PM
I'm done. All I got is a cleaning. I want him to replace my old fillings though. In two weeks he said. I decided I should have my closing in mid September. That way I don't have to pay maintenance for that month. I have to get everything together for the move and that will be a hassle. I am dreading that part. I just feel icky today even though my teeth are nice and shiny today. I have to get laid!!! I am so frustrated it is ridiculous. Hope you're faring better. At least the wax was good. Those women pet and blow and do all kinds of the things to make pain bearable. I am still frustrated though. I need a friend with benefits.

Good night princess, sleep well.
