Nouvelle Vague and Camille Lefil
Hey I love it when I discover new music. (New to me.) Check out this website for Nouvelle Vague where they have free downloads of their songs- the entire songs, not just samples. The song in particular that I like is Guns of Brixton, originally a Clash tune.
Screw the Clash though.
I'm just sayin.
Here are the songs: http://www.nouvellesvagues.com/francais/music.html
And this is the website of the girl who is singing with the band on that one song that I really like, Camille Lefil. Her website is in French so it is maybe not so easy to navigate, but there are some samples in there and some of them are kind of nice too, kind of hypnotic I think. Since I don't speak French.
Some are totally bad though.
Like show tunes.
Okay the more I listen I realize I don't care for her stuff at all, it sucks, but the combination with her and the other band is sweet, I'm telling you. Totally worth it. Guns of Brixton.
Oh yeah, and on an interesting sidenote, there's this guy I know and his landlord's name is Ron Burgundy.
