First Morning of the Second Evac
They told us we were going to evacuate for Katrina, and this was my duty weekend anyway so I didn't really care, I had nothing to lose. We were going to bring our baseball mitts and make the best of it, and I was going to bring my camera and get some pictures of Georgia for the website until I got picked to be on the working party to stay behind and get the base ready after the hurricane hits.
Now it looks like she's going to go west and nobody is going to be going anywhere. We're sitting around in our coveralls waiting to see what's up, and I'm tired as hell because I had watch until 2:30 last night and I had to get up at 6 this morning, so nobody better mess with me today. If all goes according to my master plan we will do not one damn thing.
