Terrorizing southerners

I love this city but sometimes you just need to get out and terrorize a small southern town.

Spent the last two weeks in VA, NC, and SC, had some good clean fun.

I broke up with two women in South Carolina. I told them that it just wasn't working out between us, there were just too many red flags. I put it to them as delicately as I could manage, and I excused myself. They said, "Okay, bye!" and stared after me.

That must have been weird for them because they had no idea who I was. A New York girl would have told me to F off in the first 5 seconds. The southern girls actually had the whole conversation with me, and they enjoyed the show. And yes, it was a show.

When I returned to the group, Andy was laying in a prone position on top of a row of hedges having a conversation with some locals about what they had under the hood of their hot-rod. He kept a straight face and never acknowledged the fact that he was laying in the bushes. When we left they said they appreciated our attitude, because we said their car was cool.

We saw some live music. When the band took the stage, the front-guy said, "Good evening." and the entire audience replied in unison, "Good evening." Southern-Culture shock.

Good times.
